The evening of August 12, our rooftop will host a special edition of Sips & Sounds, inspired by one of the most anticipated moments of the summer.
With the Mediterranean as its backdrop, the evening will bring together exceptional gastronomy, live music, and an exclusive creation by Handshake Speakeasy. For the occasion, Lia, Handshake bartender visiting from Mexico, will present the exclusive BLACKOUT Cocktail by Handshake, a signature creation inspired by the eclipse's mystery and subtle nuances. The culinary experience will also be enhanced by a Live Cooking Station, where a selection of our cold dishes will be prepared live before guests.
The evening will feature live performances creating a refined and melodic atmosphere at sunset, followed by a DJ set that will bring the celebration to a memorable close, marking a truly unique night beneath the Ibiza sky.
Solar eclipses occur several times each year somewhere on Earth, but a total solar eclipse visible from the same location is an extraordinarily rare event. On average, a single location must wait around 375 years to once again lie beneath the path of totality.
The eclipse on August 12, 2026 is especially remarkable. It will be the first total solar eclipse visible from mainland Spain in more than a century, crossing the country from west to east before continuing over the Balearic Islands at sunset.
Thanks to their position along the eclipse's path and the typically clear skies of mid-August, the Balearic Islands are considered one of Europe's best locations to experience this extraordinary astronomical phenomenon.
